Somatic Coaching

Madelanne works 1-1 with people who are purposeful participants in their world — people who seek to shift the structures and systems around them to enable greater justice, joy, and interconnection — and who seek to deepen their self-awareness and skill in the embodied domain.

This might include exploring emotional patterns, states of nervous system activation, issues of self-expression and inhibition, or any other body-based factors that are contributing to, or hindering, their success.

These change-makers seek to open doors to more collaborative ways of working within themselves and their group context, and are prepared to sit in the fire of that change themselves.

This work has a strength/skill-based focus, but can also be deep and very personal. Madelanne holds it with sensitivity and a strong container of confidentiality, and keeps the work oriented towards the North Star of leadership - and what that means in each person’s particular context.

What you can expect

  • Madelanne will take the time to get to know you, your unique context and history;

  • She will guide your inquiry through conversation as well as body-based activities and exercises;

  • She will compassionately hold space for areas of fear, sensitivity, or suffering;

  • She will support you to identify strengths and connect with your innate resilience and intelligence;

  • The work will enable you to become ever more receptive to the intelligence and creativity of your embodied self;

  • And, to develop the confidence and self-expression to skillfully bring your full, embodied self into your life, work, and group cultures.

  • Sessions can be highly focussed, and directed towards responding to a particular issue or can be more about following an open inquiry.

  • In either case, the work is highly bespoke and attuned; it does not follow a set formula or programme but rather follows alongside the needs of each client.
