Introducing the Neurobiology of Trauma: Audio Recordings
In this series of short audio recordings, Madelanne reviews key neuroscientific information, as presented by Bessel Van Der Kolk in “The Body Keeps the Score,” as an introduction to the fundamental, fractal patterns trauma creates in our brains, bodies, relationships, and cultures.
Introducing the Neurobiology of Trauma: Resources
These resources convey some of the fundamental neuroscientific frameworks and models used in understanding trauma and PTSD. They are a visual representation of the information presented in the Introducing the Neurobiology of Trauma audio recording series, which draws from Bessel Van Der Kolk’s (2014) book “The Body Keeps the Score” as well as from more recent research.
Current Research
These resources provide some helpful neurobiological frameworks for understanding different aspects of our experience. They reference current research, and indicate where there is agreement, as well as where there is uncertainty and differing views.
